The California College Republicans Internship Program has helped place many College Republicans across the state into legislative offices and political campaigns. We are committed to helping conservative college students find internships to build upon prior experience, providing them with the opportunity to hone their skills in a professional political environment. The CCR Internship Program has served as a means for College Republicans to connect with elected officials Getting more College Republicans involved in the process is important for building the talent pool of future Republican leaders. Leadership Institute
The Leadership Institute’s Campus Leadership Program (CLP) is looking to fill positions in the fall for Field Representatives. This is a contract position that will run for 10 weeks from late August through Mid-November.
Field Representatives will be responsible for recruiting conservative students on campus and mobilizing them to start independent conservative groups, organize events and start publications. Each Field Rep will receive a recruitment budget, reimbursements for gas, tolls, lodging and cell phone, a free laptop (yours to keep upon successful completion of the program) and Internet reimbursement. There are other financial incentives as well.
This is a great opportunity for a student looking to take a semester off or a recent college graduate. Preference will be given to candidates who have previous campus activism and/or publication experience. Positions will be filled throughout the spring and summer, and there will be a week-long August training session in our Arlington, VA, headquarters before the program begins. Transportation, lodging and meals will be provided.

Young America’s Foundation Director of Marketing
Position Summary:
Young America’s Foundation has an immediate opening for a director of marketing. Seeking a versatile marketing team member who understands both marketing strategy and creative visual design. Responsibilities include managing and developing marketing strategies, creating/refining design/concepts of promotional material, and ensuring the visual appearance of organization in print, online, and public is of the highest quality. Applicant must understand that creative design and visuals are primarily to support communication of content/text, not competing or distract from it.
The ideal candidate will have non-profit, marketing, and/or graphic design experience along with a strong interest in promoting conservative ideas to young people. An established portfolio of marketing materials produced is preferred. Other qualifications: creative, team-player, manage multiple projects, able to take direction, work independently, visually astute. Applicant must have excellent oral, written, and organizational skills. Outstanding copyediting skills are a plus. Not close to public transportation, a car is required. Responsibilities include:
| - | Coordinating and managing the Foundation’s general marketing strategies including those for print, online, and word of mouth campaigns |
| - | Stay informed of current marketing and visual trends in the conservative movement and greater business society; continued forward thinking in regards to Foundation’s marketing efforts |
| - | Creative design (desktop publishing/graphic design) for many of the group’s documents, publications, advertisements (such as Libertas magazine, posters, brochures, newsletters, proposals, greeting cards, select website graphics, etc.) |
| - | Working at/on and organizing various selected educational programs, ensuring visual representation of events is high quality for television, still cameras, and attendees |
| - | Assist with production of program related materials, particularly in regards to visual representation and production (flyers, posters, books, bumper stickers, buttons, placards, t-shirts, proposals, etc.) |
| - | Bid and negotiate with vendors to produce many of the organization’s print pieces |
| - | Buy and negotiate advertisement space for various print and online campaigns |
| - | Develop and manage products for online webstore using store back-end |
| - | Assist with improving online event registration using specialized back-end |
| - | Research and acquire stock/historic photography for use in publications; hire and instruct photographers at Foundation events |
| - | Network with other similar positions in the Conservative Movement; build relationships with individuals and groups |
| - | Handle technical and computer troubleshooting, particularly in regards to visual needs (i.e. Powerpoint presentations, etc.) |
Requirements include:
| - | Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in a field related to marketing, graphic design, and/or political science |
| - | Grasp of marketing strategies and concepts; eagerness to learn more if needed |
| - | Good comprehension of desktop design principles; must understand that creative design and visuals are primarily to support communication of content/text, not competing or distract from it |
| - | Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, GoLive, Acrobat) and/or similar programs; experience with Adobe InCopy is a plus |
| - | Know how of sales tactics, headline writing, and copywriting; eagerness to learn more if needed |
| - | Understanding of website design and management |
| - | Basic-to-intermediate HTML skills required |
| - | Well versed with computers; knowledge of both Mac and PC environments a plus |
| - | Experience with video and/or audio production a plus |
